Named after Mahavir Chakra awardee Late Naik Nar Singh of 4 Kumaon, Nar Vihar II wears a rather impressive appearance. Neat and well maintained the compound oozes resolute punctuality and tidiness unlike other housing complexes of Sector 34. Developed by the Army Welfare Housing Organisation, the compound is laid on in an area of 2 acres and is split among 19 modest towers, open parking spots and a small park at the centre. The complex houses 136 flats and also has a community hall equipped with a library and a reading room. The Society management provides the residents with basic conveniences like power backup, water supply, children's play area, etc. Almost half of the residents here are defense employees but good news is people looking for a home can rent an apartment within the compound.
Rickshaws take care of resident movements within the sector while auto-rickshaws hanging around outside the compound and tempos from the main road facilitate inter-sector transport. Noida City Centre Metro is just a walk away from Sector 34 and connects residents to the rest of the city.
The RWA of the Society tends to the needs of the compound and other maintenance staff are just a call away.
Day to day purchases can be made at B-12 market which is equipped with grocery stores, ATMs, etc. Sector 34 also has a unique \'Shukr Bazaar\' (held on Fridays) which snakes around across the lanes of the whole Sector.
Parking facility inside the Society is available for residents only while visitors and shoppers can park their vehicles right outside the compound. The compound also has a children\'s bus stand right next to the main gate.
Security is taken care of by CCTV cameras and 6 guards who work in divided shifts.
Nar Vihar-II has a small children\'s play area cum park in the centre of the compound. It does lack a proper garden but Sector 34 has a significant amount of space allotted for gardens and parks some of which are pretty well maintained. Only a few festivals are celebrated in the compound but national holidays like Independence Day and Republic Day hold a special place in the hearts of the residents. The compound also has a humble library maintained by the manager of the compound.
