Like the name suggests, Indian Oil Apartments was originally built to house the executives and senior officials of the public sector company. Naturally, the location has to be of a stature that goes with the suited-booted officials. With the original residents taking particular care, the construction quality is also fairly good. Generous in terms of space, the 375 flats are scattered across 8 multi-storey towers rising up from its 4-acre compound.
With Mamura Chowk - the famed roundabout - nearby, the apartments here are easily accessible. For those using public transport (and we thank you for that!), shared auto rickshaw, DTC Bus (number 492) and plenty of private buses will safely take you there.
The Society has a ready backup team for end moment household troubles. Guards, garbage collectors, sweepers, plumbers and electricians are managed by the 7 member RWA. 3 members bear the office and remain accessible 24x 7 for residents.
No eggs, no milk, no bread for breakfast? Just visit the small shop inside the complex. For bigger things, visit TOT mall which stocks farm fresh dairy products, vegetables and fruits. One can also visit the Mother Dairy and Safal booths housed in the mall.
New to driving? Parking the car in basements give you goose bumps? The Society has friendly parking space- under the open sky, in front or near your flats.
The two gates to the Society are manned by guards round the clock. Unfortunately, the power back-up is limited to common areas only. Which means, inverter is the first necessity a resident needs here.
The play park is cute; the small garden is cuter. Hardcore fitness enthusiasts can flex their muscles and lift weights at the gym inside the complex, while a moderately sized community hall plays host to various social functions - from kid\'s b\'day to RWA events.
