Sector 34 in Noida is packed with age old housing complexes developed by NDA some of which resemble architecture from a prior era. It is nowhere more apparent than in Himgiri Apartments which was developed by the Noida Development Authority over a spread of 2 acres. Divided among 8 blocks are 368 flats all in 2 BHK layout. The compound wears a kind of shoddy appearance and the buildings look worn out resulting from poor maintenance and abrasion of time. The Society management provides the residents with some basic conveniences like water supply, children's play area, etc.
Auto-rickshaws hanging around outside the compound and tempos from the main road facilitate inter-sector transport. Noida City Centre Metro is just a walk away from Sector 34 which connects residents to the rest of the city.
The RWA of the Society tends to the needs of the compound and maintenance staff are just a call away.
Sector 34 has a good number of shopping spots but the nearest one is the B-12 market that is full of grocery stores, ATMs, etc. Sector 34 also has a unique \'Shukr Bazaar\' which sets up shops only on Fridays when it snakes its way into the lanes of the whole Sector.
Only residents are entitled to parking within the compound while visitors have to park their vehicles outside the gate at their own risk!
Security is taken care of by CCTV cameras and 6 guards who work in divided shifts.
Parks, play area, and gardens in Himgiri Apartments are long due for repairs and renovation. The basketball and badminton courts offer an impression of neglect. But Sector 34 has a significant amount of space allotted for gardens and parks some of which are pretty well maintained. The residents also celebrate every festival all through the year.
