Developed by SBI employees in the early eighties and registered as ‘Rao CGHS’, the Society is now popularly known as ‘New Millennium Apartments’. Spread over an area of 8,000 sqm, it has 130 flats of different configurations. “We have 2 BHK, 3 BHK and 3 BHK with servant quarters. The area of each flat is 850 sqft, 1400 sqft and 1800 sqft respectively,” says Suri.
The Society has well-trained security staff, round the clock water supply and power back up, ample avenues for recreation among many other features.
Because of its proximity to Metro Blue Line and Airport Express at Sector 21, it has good bus connectivity. The Society is just 200m from the Sector 21 Metro Station. Cycle rickshaws and auto rickshaws are easily available there. Located along a master plan road connected with Road Number 220 and 225, the Society is also accessible through public transport. Bus routes like ML-83, RL-77, 717 ply through the area. RTVs from Sector 9 Metro Station and Sector 21 Metro Station are other options to reach the Society.
The Society has a monthly maintenance charge of Rs 3,000 which takes care of security, common area lighting, electrician and plumbers. Residents have taken an initiative to keep the periphery clean.
The nearest places to shop for daily needs are the Sector 22 market in front Mount Carmel School and at Sector 23 in front of Basava School. Both the markets have a mall each where almost all the facilities like dairy and vegetable shops, the chemist shop, stationery shops, parlour/salon, bakery, electrical shop, provisions and grocery shops, garment shops are available. This apartment has the privilege of having a Mother Dairy booth in its premises. Also there is a weekly haat on Thursday and Saturday for fresh vegetables and fruits in Sector 23.
The Society has open parking for about 150 cars.
The Society is equipped with 16 CCTV Cameras and 10 guards. Police verification of maids and domestic helps for the Society is mandatory.
The Society has 3 parks including one main park. Playgrounds, badminton court, gardens, walking space, cultural club are other means of recreation in the Society.
