For most of the early parts of our lives, we are dependent on teachers to show us the way: To tell right from wrong and know good from bad. In fact, a teacher's role is often under-rated as students grow up to be successful professionals. Nothing, however, can lessen the importance of teachers in our lives.

Located in the heart of Dwarka, Badhwar Apartments is a Society founded by GR Badhwar, a prolific teacher. Treasurer of the managing committee, SL Kalra shares, “Being a teacher, he had a great vision for this Society. He wanted to provide everything inside the premises and spread love and affection in children for each other. You can see that all here. We are secular in nature. And our punch line is “Caring, sharing and harmony.”

The cooperative group of the Society was made up of teachers and airlines personnel. That was in 1983. Spread over an area of 8,500 sqm, the Society has 108 flats of various configurations: 4 BHK (2,200 sqft), 3 BHK (1,700 sqft) and 2 BHK (1,400 sqft) flats. People from all across the nation live here.

The Society has many unique facilities for its members: A big community hall, a well-furnished library, two beautiful guest houses, indoor games, a prayer hall, a skating rink, a play area and so on.

According to Kalra, the Society was adjudged as the best Society during its inception in 2000.

Autos and rickshaws are present for travelling within the sub-city. The Society has the advantage of being located in the vicinity of various markets and along the Master Plan Road No 202. Bus Route No RL75, RL77 and RL79 are the main routes to access the Society. The Society offers allocated open parking for all residents.

The security of the Society is managed by 6 security guards and 16 CCTV cameras. A network of intercom services have been provided to all residents. Maids, domestic helps, car cleaners and other such service providers are registered and verified by police and kept on record by issuing I-cards by the Society.

The Society has one main garden, plush with greenery. Various spaces around the Society have been covered with new vegetation. Children love to frolic around in the exclusive playground that the Society offers. The gardens are well maintained and adorned with seasonal plants and flowers. Residents gather at the community hall on various occasions and meetings.
