Pragya CGHS Ltd is a Cooperative Group Housing Society spread over an area of 2.5 acres. There is a total of 158 flats of 3 BHK dimension. However, flats on the 1st floor are with some extra space and different specification. President of the society RK Blaggan says, “We are one of those few societies in Dwarka where there is a servant quarter and a total 4 bathrooms in each flat. We also have a big and beautiful open podium which is uncommon in Dwarka. The podium is used for recreation, celebration and as a play area for children. We have a big community hall also where we organise our festivals and other events.” As for parks, there are four - one big central park and three smaller parks, one them exclusively used as children’s play area. Walking track, prayer room, security, parking space (covered) for 158 vehicles, water and power backup, fire fighting system, lifts and many more facilities are there in this society. Add to these, a cultural club of ladies which organises interesting events in the Society.
According to Blaggan, the Society is a symbol of peace and harmony as people celebrate all the festivals together. “We celebrate each other’s festival. We have only one Christian family but the whole society celebrates Chrismas."
The Society is located along Master Plan Road No 201 which makes it easily accessible from any corner of Dwarka and other parts of the National Capital. Apart from that, the road from West Delhi to Dwarka meets road No 201 near the Society at the intersection of Sector 1/2/6/7. The Society is easily accessible through road and Metro. Bus Route No 764, 761, West Mudrika, RL 75, 77, 79, 781, RTV, Metro Feeders, and shared autos are available on the Master Plan Road No 201 just in front of the society. The accessibility through road is easier than the Metro due to the availability of many bus routes just at a 20-metre distance from the main gate of the society. The JM International Bus Stop is just in front of the society on the Master Plan Road No 201. The nearest Metro stations are at Sector 9, Sector 10 and Sector 11. A monthly maintenance charge of Rs 3,000 takes care of security, common area lighting, garden maintenance, etc.
The nearest market to the Society is the Post Office Market of Sector 6 and the one in Sector 2. The markets of Ramphal Chowk, Sector 6 and Sector 10 are within 2 km.
Covered parking for 158 and stilt parking for 100 vehicles - that's more than enough for residents.
The security system of the Society is equipped with 32 CCTV cameras and 7 guards round the clock. Besides that verification of tenants, maids, new member and other people who work in the society need mandatory police verification. A register is regularly maintained to record the entry and exit of visitors.
The society has a centrally located big park and three smaller parks. There is a walking track, big community hall, indoor game facilities like table tennis, badminton, carom board, etc. There is a big open-air podium and a prayer room for ladies. A gym will also be set up soon.
