Bengalis are known for their Roshogollas, Hilsa, Adda and intellect. Every Bengali, from a tea-seller to a CEO, is taught to be well-read since they are kids. Wisdom opens up new worlds in one's head, awakening senses. Probably that's why the Bengali community who formed this Society in Dwarka named it Jagran (awakening).
Jagran Apartments is a Cooperative Group Housing Society (CGHS). "The Society was registered in the early eighties and we got possession in 2004. People from all communities live together happily," says HS Chahar, President of the Society. There are a total 120 3-BHK flats of different specification. Some 3 BHK flats have a study room with an area 1,500 sqft and some come with a 1,200 sqft lobby.
The Society has many facilities for the residents like round the clock water supply, power back-up, perfect security system, parks, play area, and more. It also has indoor games facilities like badminton and table tennis. On the green front, the Society has a well-maintained park and a rainwater harvesting system.
The Society is at a stone's throw away from Sector 21 Metro station. Rickshaws and auto rickshaws are easily available there. The Society, being situated along the Master Plan road, is also accessible via buses and RTVs.
The Society charges Rs 2,500 per month for maintenance, which takes care of security, common area lighting, and services of electricians and plumbers.
The Sector 22 market in front of Mount Carmel School and Sector 23 market in front of Basava School serve as the go-to options for residents. Both the markets have a mall each that offers goods and services. Residents also enjoy dine-outs at the restaurants and eateries in the market. The Sector 23 weekly haats on Thursday and Saturday offer fresh vegetables and fruits.
There are 60 stilt parking bays and 100 open-parking spots in the Society.
The security system of the Society is equipped with 16 CCTV cameras spread out across the area and 6 guards. Records of visitor entry and exit are duly maintained at the gate. All workers are properly verified before they can offer their services.
One big park and sporadic green spaces act as the green lungs for the Society. The Society playground offers myriad slides, swings and roundabouts. There are open spaces for residents to enjoy morning walks.
