Organised with Spartan efficiency, Arun Vihar RWA (AVRWA) is a fully integrated township for retired and serving armed forces officials. AVRWA covers sectors 28, 29 and 37, with its office, Kalyan Kendra, located in Sector 37. Spread over approximately 300 acres, it consists of 4,752 dwelling units with around 25,000 residents.
Arun Vihar was a catalyst in the rapid growth of Noida. It was also a tremendous stimulus to the development of other prime sectors in its vicinity, which in turn helped develop Atta village into the glitzy hub of malls and multiplexes it is now. The RWA has divided itself into 25 wards for the ease of administration. Each ward is looked after by a designated Ward Director. The neighbourhood has a tri-service war memorial, Shaheed Smarak, built to commemorate martyrs.
Botanical Garden and Noida Golf Course are Metro stations close to AVRWA. One can avail rickshaws and autos from the sectors to reach the nearest Metro.
The maintenance office is operational from 10 am to 5 pm every day. A team of electricians, plumbers and gardeners take care of the RWA upkeep.
AVRWA has several impressive markets: Ganga market, Lal market, Damodar complex, Brahmaputra shopping complex and Godavari complex. The markets meet all the basic needs of the residents. The famous tea stall in Godavari market attracts several folks from within and outside the RWA.
Residents have the liberty to park in front or inside of their flat premises. Open parking is also available for residents. RWA members can park in the allotted spaces outside the office.
The security team of around 50 guards keep round the clock vigil in the RWA. CCTV cameras at the gate ensure surveillance of all vehicles going in and out. Several residences have their own CCTV cameras set up as well.
AVRWA has 32 parks, 43 tiny tot areas and 11 playgrounds. The RWA also has a library for the resident bookworms. The common community hall is located in Sector 37. Arun Vihar Institute (AVI), the RWA club, is a much sought after venue for entertainment and relaxation for residents of Arun Vihar. The club has two lounges, a bar, a restaurant, party rooms, a banquet hall and two lawns for hosting various functions.
