As the name suggests, this is a Society for railway employees. The Society has been urbanised by Indian Railway Welfare Organisation (IRWO ), under the aegis of the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, with the intention of providing affordable residence to serving and retired railway employees. The 2-acre spread Swarnjayanti Rail Nagar is an autonomous housing Society designed creatively with 4 towers and 264 flats. The renowned State Bank of India is close at hand. It is a Society designed so as to cater all sort of flat requirements from modest to large ( 1/2/3/4 BHK).
Foodies can relish the ample food destinations in the Central market located just behind the Society. Pizza Hut, Lahori, Domino\'s - one has it all. A number of residents are seen using cycles to go around the area. Rickshaw is the only mode of transport available right outside the main gate and to board the Metro or a bus, residents first take a rickshaw ride to the respective stations.
The Society has a fully functional 12 member RWA. 1 office bearer is available 6 days a week to manage office from 9 am to 5 pm. Keeping working residents in mind office remains closed on Thursday.
Head straight to Central market which is right behind the Society for grocery, shopping therapies and for yummy street food. For cooler shopping ideas, destinations like G2L and Jaipuria Plaza are places to go to in the slow-mo comfort of a rickshaw.
Residents park their cars in front of their flats. Parking area is open.
When it comes to security the Society leaves it to the able-bodied guards (there are 8 of them).
The scenic view of the Society reveals the Society\'s obsession towards environment. Green area surrounding the apartments here is as important as the infrastructure itself. The park inside the campus is adequately decked up with foliage to keep residents more close to nature. Kids too have been catered to inside the green belt.
