A group of beleaguered homebuyers from Supertech's Eco-Villages staged a protest against the real-estate giant outside the Greater Noida Development Authority office. Demanding action against the builders, they spoke out against delayed possession of flats and the collection of additional charges from them. They also met the Authority's CEO, PC Gupta, and called for stern steps against the developers.

Ratan Singh, who stays in Eco-Village I, complained that residents were being forced to make advance service-charge payments for the entire year, whereas, according to the agreement signed with developer, these charges had to be paid on a monthly basis to the builder.

There are other complaints as well. Chetan Sharma, a resident of Eco-Village II, said the builder was now forcing them to make extra payments for installing power back-up in the apartments. However, the agreement signed between the homebuyers and the builder makes no mention of extra amounts to be paid for these facilities.

Upon hearing the homebuyers’ grievances, Gupta assured the agitated group that he would look into the matter.
